On 166km foot paths, about 35km are suitable and maintained for trekking throughout the winter.
To explore areas surrounding Anzere, may we sugest an easy walk along the “Bisse (stream) of Sion” or a stroll through the forest and among typical rural huts. Walkers can also take the cablecar and get off at the first station at 2'000m altitude, enjoy the panoramic view of the Valaisan Alps before walking back to Anzere Village.
Three snowshoes trails are marked out and crowned. The “Poachers” leads from Anzere village through unspoiled countryside to the wilds of the “Pierrier des Rousses”. The “Tour des Mayens” explores “bisses” (man-made mountain streams) and the ancient buildings on Grillesses. Another track starting at the base of the Rousses chair lift winds its way through the forest and the “Pierrier des Rousses”.
Every on Tuesday afternoon, Anzere Tourism organizes a tour with a guide and every evening of full moon a night tour with raclette in Tsalan Restaurant.
